Starlette classes – ages 3-7
General Guidelines
-No skirts attached to leos or that tie on. These can become the full attention during class time and we like to only have skirts during
"Trash Week"!
-Jewelry and watches must be removed before entering the dance class. These can become objects that may accidentally break or scratch another student, so we like to leave them outside the classroom.
-Dance bag should be packed with dance shoes, outside shoes, and Kleenex. No food or water.
-Names should be written inside of ALL dance shoes prior to first dance class.
-Please remember that dance shoes are inside shoes…have special outside-shoes to wear to and from the dance studio. Concrete will ruin dance shoes!
-Hair is in a bun, with bangs secured out of face.
-Hair that is too short, secure in 1 or 2 ponytails and clip stray hair out of face.
Ballet
Any Style Pink, Light Blue or Black leotard, No attached or separate skirts. Pink footed tights (not footless). Capezio or Bloch Pink Ballet shoes, must be leather - Cut drawstrings about 1⁄2 inch, make a bow, THEN tuck inside of ballet shoe. No panties - dance tights serve as your child’s “undergarment.” Dancers’ hair should be in a bun, even short hair will need to be secured out of face
Tap
Capezio or Bloch Black Tap shoe, must replace tap tie ribbons with elastic Tap Ties/Velcro is fine. NO buckles!
Jazz
Black leotard and Black footed tights (unless coming or going to ballet then please wear ballet attire) and Black Bloch 401L slip-on split sole with Hair secured out of face.
Hip Hop
Comfy clothes, no jeans, and need tennis shoes that are easy to get on.
Junior Classes – Ages 8-11
Jr One Ballet
Any Shade of Purple or Black Leotard, Black, Chiffon Wrap Skirt (Tie or Elastic).Tights: Pink footed or convertible tights. Shoes: Split Sole, Capezio or Bloch Pink Ballet shoes, must be leather. Cut drawstrings about half inch, make a bow, THEN tuck inside of ballet shoe.

Jr One Jazz/Tap

Acro
Tight clothing that will not slip overhead or endanger child while being spotted (leotards, shorts & tank tops) Bare Feet (no shoes), Hair pulled back and secured out of face
Spotlight Acting Academy
- Comfortable clothing that they can move in
- Tennis shoes or jazz shoes. NO OPEN TOE SHOES.
- All students should bring a notebook, pencil, and any script materials requested by your teacher to each class.
- NO FOOD OR DRINKS allowed in the acting room. They must remain in the hallway cubbies.
- Please don't bring any toys to class!
